Step into an engaging role serving K-6 learners as a part-time occupational therapy professional for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This contract position covers 2.5 days per week, with two days focused on direct student services and a half day dedicated to meetings and assessments. Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold current credentials as an Occupational Therapist (OT); applicants with COTA certification will also be considered.
- Prior experience in school settings or working with children ages 5-12 is highly valued.
- Solid understanding of IEP planning, goals, documentation, and evidence-based interventions.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary staff, families, and students.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Comfort with technology for possible future virtual service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to elementary students, supporting fine motor, sensory, and functional skills development.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and testing, helping shape individualized plans for student success.
- Track student progress and maintain clear, timely documentation.
- Communicate regularly with families, teachers, and staff to ensure coordinated support.
- Adapt interventions in response to changing caseload needs and student goals.
- Transition smoothly between in-person and virtual service delivery if required.
