Step into an impactful role serving K-6 students for the 2026-2027 school year! A passionate Occupational Therapist is needed on a part-time contract basis, beginning at the end of August and continuing through the end of the academic year. You'll provide essential support two full days per week, reserving a half day for meetings and evaluations—an ideal balance for focused, meaningful engagement.

As a key provider within a dynamic and supportive environment, you'll work directly with a growing caseload, providing intervention and consultation to help young learners thrive in their daily school routines. This is an in-person position initially, with the potential to transition to virtual services by August if needed. While an OT is preferred, outstanding Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants will also be considered.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Valid Delaware Occupational Therapist (OT) license (or eligibility); COTA candidates will be considered
  • Experience or strong interest in pediatric or school-based OT settings
  • Skilled in assessment, intervention planning, and documentation for K-6 students
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and special education teams
  • Comfortable providing both direct and consultative services
  • Flexible approach to service delivery (in-person, with possible transition to virtual)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct OT services to K-6 students two days per week
  • Attend meetings, complete testing, and maintain documentation during the assigned half day
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Contribute expertise in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams
  • Support growth of students’ functional and academic skills

What’s Offered:

  • Flexible, part-time schedule to promote work/life balance
  • Opportunity to work with a supportive school community and expanding caseload
  • Consideration for both OTs and COTAs
  • Chance to continue professional development in an in-demand specialty

If you’re enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of students and value a role with flexibility and the potential for virtual work, apply today! Your expertise can empower students to reach their fullest potential this school year.
