Structured for flexibility and effectiveness, the schedule covers two full days dedicated to direct therapy services, plus a half-day reserved for essential meetings and evaluations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Active Delaware Occupational Therapy licensure required
  • Prior experience providing OT services in a school-based setting is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy modalities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and school staff
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and adapt to dynamic school environments

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct occupational therapy services tailored to K-6th grade students in accordance with IEP goals
  • Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP meetings, utilizing the scheduled half-day for evaluations, planning, and collaboration
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that foster students’ independence in academic and daily life activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation for therapy sessions, student progress, and compliance with all legal and ethical school standards
  • Collaborate with educators and families to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom and home environments
  • Participate in professional meetings and support multidisciplinary teams within the school
