Your days will involve collaborating with students, educators, and families to ensure every child reaches their full potential. Drawing on your clinical skills, you’ll provide individualized and group therapy sessions, implement evidence-based interventions, and support students in overcoming barriers to success both in the classroom and beyond.
Desired skills and experience:
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Prior experience in school-based OT settings preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Comfortable working onsite and adapting to diverse student needs
- Passionate about helping children and adolescents thrive academically and socially
Key responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional and developmental needs within the school environment
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting
- Collaborate with special education staff, parents, and other therapists
- Provide direct therapy, consultation, and classroom strategies to support occupational performance
- Document treatment, progress, and ongoing needs in compliance with school policies
