Located near the vibrant Seattle, WA area, this position spans the 2026-2027 academic year, from September 1, 2026, through June 16, 2027. With a consistent weekly schedule of 38.75 hours, you’ll have the chance to make a significant impact on young learners by utilizing your expertise across traditional, home health, healthcare, and teletherapy settings.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Washington State Occupational Therapy license
- Valid ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification
- Experience working in K-8 school settings strongly preferred
- Proficiency providing OT services through in-person, home health, and virtual platforms
- Solid knowledge of IEP development and contributions to multidisciplinary teams
- Effective communication skills with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group OT interventions to K-8 students in accordance with IEP goals and district policies
- Evaluate, plan, and document student progress to ensure best outcomes
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other specialists to integrate therapy into the classroom and remote learning environments
- Provide teletherapy services as needed, adapting approaches for virtual success
- Support student independence in classroom participation, daily activities, and fine motor skill development
- Maintain accurate records and timely reporting in compliance with professional and regulatory guidelines
