Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active California Occupational Therapist (OTR) licensure
- Experience working in school settings, delivering therapy for pediatric populations
- Understanding of IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with sensory integration and school-based intervention models
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored occupational therapy services to students, addressing fine motor skills, self-care, and classroom participation
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to develop strategies that facilitate student success
- Document evaluations, progress reports, and treatment outcomes in accordance with school district guidelines
- Offer consultation, support, and training to educators and other staff on best practices
- Manage a full-time school-based caseload across elementary, middle, and/or high school students
