Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to support students in grades 5-12 in a full-time, onsite school-based role. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with students to enhance their functional, academic, and developmental skills while collaborating with educators and support teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in grades 5-12.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.
- Recommend accommodations, modifications, and strategies to support student success.
- Participate in meetings and consultations regarding student needs and progress.
Qualifications Required
- Active Occupational Therapist license.
- Required educator certification/credential for school-based practice.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with middle and high school students.
- Knowledge of occupational therapy best practices within educational settings.
Preferred
- Previous school-based experience.
- Experience working with students in grades 5-12.
- Familiarity with IEP processes and educational team collaboration.
