This full-time, onsite contract role is ideal for an OT or COTA passionate about supporting students’ development and contributing to a year-round educational setting. The majority of students served are on the autism spectrum, making this environment especially meaningful for professionals interested in working with neurodiverse populations. While full-time availability is preferred, skilled part-time candidates able to work Thursdays and Fridays are also encouraged to apply.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Maryland
- Recent experience working in school settings, preferably K-12
- Proficiency addressing occupational needs of students with autism or related developmental challenges
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with educational staff, students, and families
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based therapy for students to improve skills related to their educational participation
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized intervention strategies tailored to each student’s needs
- Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights and recommendations
- Maintain timely and thorough documentation as required by school and regulatory standards
- Support classroom staff with strategies and accommodations that foster an inclusive, supportive environment
