With four openings available, you will be part of a collaborative and supportive district recognized for its robust mentorship programs and specialized resources for diverse caseloads.
Role Highlights:
- Contract position: August 10, 2026 – June 8, 2027
- Full-time: 35 hours per week
- Work exclusively onsite, covering elementary grade students (ages 3 through 5th grade)
- Flexible scheduling with therapist-driven caseload management, with approval from school administrators—no strict daily start or end times, and 21 hours per week dedicated to direct student services
- Caseloads may vary and may be across multiple school sites (details discussed during interview)
- Focus on academic life skills with students presenting high-level autism spectrum disorders, significant communication needs, and behavioral challenges
- Comprehensive district support for behavioral and communication needs
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in Maryland required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting or with similar age groups strongly preferred
- Background in addressing complex student needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and behavioral support
- Strong communication and organizational abilities, with adaptability to manage varying caseloads across multiple locations
- Commitment to collaborative work within a team-oriented environment, utilizing mentorship opportunities
