Occupational Therapist School Setting - Silver Spring, MD

An exciting contract position is available for two dedicated Occupational Therapists to support K-12 learners in a vibrant educational setting near Silver Spring, MD. This full-time position allows you to work collaboratively with students, educators, and families to help students reach their fullest potential.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license for Maryland (or eligibility for licensure)
• Previous experience working in a school environment or with pediatric populations preferred
• Ability to assess, plan, and implement effective therapy tailored for K-12 students
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with educators and families
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to a diverse K-12 student body based on IEPs and identified needs
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress toward therapy goals
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to integrate therapy strategies into classrooms
• Participate in IEP meetings, offering expert recommendations and support for student success
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance with all state and federal guidelines
• Educate staff and families on strategies to support student progress at school and at home
