An exciting opportunity awaits a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide support during a maternity leave at two vibrant elementary schools near Simpsonville, SC. This impactful contract role spans from mid-December 2026 through mid-March 2027 (tentative), working full-time across Summit Drive Elementary and Reedy Laurel Elementary. You will have the chance to work with a diverse caseload of approximately 60 students, collaborating with supportive school teams to help children reach their fullest potential.
Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in South Carolina
- Experience in school settings or in pediatrics is strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to different student needs and collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists
- Proactive approach to documentation, service delivery, and IEP participation
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals and school policies
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
- Design and implement tailored interventions addressing fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skills for educational participation
- Complete timely evaluations, progress monitoring, and necessary documentation
- Participate in team meetings, contribute to IEP development, and offer professional insights on student needs
