Make a meaningful impact in educational settings as an Occupational Therapist on a contract basis, serving multiple schools throughout the county. This itinerant position supports students across five elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. While specific caseload numbers have not yet been determined, your expertise will help students reach their fullest potential by overcoming barriers to learning and participation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license and certification.
- Experience working in school-based or pediatric OT settings.
- Familiarity with educational evaluations, IEP processes, and interventions tailored for children and adolescents.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with school staff, students, and families.
- Ability to travel between locations within the district.
- Comfortable adapting to changing schedules and student needs.
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive educational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver OT services to students across elementary, middle, and high school levels.
- Assess students and develop intervention plans to support educational access and participation.
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families about strategies that enhance student growth and independence.
- Maintain required documentation, progress notes, and collaborate at IEP or student support meetings.
- Manage a potentially varied and evolving caseload, adjusting services as necessary to meet student and school needs.
