Exciting contract opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to make a positive difference in the lives of students aged 6-14! This rewarding role serves a small caseload of around 16 students, supporting their development within both a middle and elementary school setting. Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license and registration required.
- Prior experience providing OT services in school settings strongly preferred.
- Skilled in collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Comfortable developing and implementing individualized therapy plans.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Organizational skills to manage a caseload split across likely two school locations.
- Adaptable and creative approach to engaging students with diverse needs.
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and re-evaluations for students ages 6-14.
- Develop and track goals as part of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services both individually and in small group settings.
- Provide staff training and recommendations for classroom accommodations.
- Maintain accurate documentation per district and legal requirements.
- Communicate regularly with families and faculty regarding student progress.
- Utilize proven, evidence-based practices to encourage student skill development.
