Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in Indiana, or eligibility for state licensure
  • Prior experience in a school-based setting, especially with elementary-aged children, is preferred
  • Strong understanding of pediatric OT assessments, interventions, and IEP processes
  • Comfortable working onsite and building relationships with students and school staff
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy sessions to elementary students, tailoring interventions to support their educational goals
  • Conduct assessments to determine students’ functional abilities and needs in the classroom environment
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to develop and implement IEPs
  • Monitor and document student progress, providing regular updates and recommendations for ongoing support
  • Foster a positive, encouraging environment to help students improve independence, motor coordination, and participation in school routines
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and consult with educational staff as needed

This contract position runs from August 10, 2026 through May 28, 2027, ensuring a full school-year impact. Candidates will enjoy working with a collaborative staff devoted to student well-being and success.
