You’ll collaborate closely with teachers and support staff, providing push-in services to full classrooms while tailoring interventions for individualized education plans (IEPs) as required.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license for Illinois
- Experience across school-based, home health, and general healthcare OT settings is highly desired
- Comfortable working with diverse student populations, K-12
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with delivering both classroom-wide and individualized OT support
- Organizational skills to manage caseloads and maintain detailed documentation
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver push-in occupational therapy for full classrooms, fostering inclusive participation and skill development
- Conduct individualized assessments for students with IEPs, developing and implementing targeted intervention plans
- Support students’ daily living, sensory, and fine motor skill advancement within the school context
- Consult with classroom teachers to adapt activities and environments for optimal student access and engagement
- Maintain clear, timely records aligned with school and legal standards
- Engage in problem-solving to ensure equitable access for all students
Contract Details and Schedule:
This position runs from June 3, 2027, with a commitment of 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
