Qualifications & Desired Background:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active OT license (or eligibility) in the state
  • Previous experience in a school-based OT setting is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and goal writing
  • Skilled in developing, implementing, and tracking individualized therapy plans
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and documentation abilities
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach in working with children and adolescents

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ abilities and needs
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
  • Provide direct therapy services to students within classroom and pull-out environments
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and other related service providers
  • Maintain thorough records, progress notes, and required documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing insight and recommendations for student support
  • Educate school staff and caregivers on strategies to promote students’ independence
