Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT license in Vermont (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience or strong interest in school-based occupational therapy
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, educators, and families
- Ability to develop and implement effective therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Willingness to adapt to new educational settings and diverse student populations
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Perform evaluations, set goals, and document student progress using best practices
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to create supportive learning environments
- Offer recommendations and strategies for classroom adaptations and assistive technology as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning
- Foster student independence, fine motor skills, and functional abilities critical for school success
