Occupational Therapist School Setting in Southaven, MS

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active OT license in Mississippi (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience in a school setting is preferred
• Familiarity with IEP process and individualized student interventions
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Dedication to collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students with diverse needs
• Deliver direct therapy and consultative services as part of the educational team
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to promote student achievement
• Provide strategies and education for staff and families to support student success
