Key Skills and Experience:

• Active Occupational Therapy license (or eligibility) in the state of Mississippi
• Prior experience in a schools or pediatric setting preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development, therapy documentation, and progress monitoring
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Adaptability and creativity to tailor interventions for diverse student needs

Daily Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students’ needs within the educational context
• Plan and implement individualized therapy sessions, focusing on skills that enhance classroom performance and daily activities
• Work alongside teachers, administrators, and families to develop and achieve student goals
• Maintain timely and accurate records, including progress notes and IEP documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert guidance and recommendations
• Support students with fine motor, sensory, self-care, and other adaptive skill development
