Occupational Therapist School Setting in Southaven, MS

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active OT license to practice in Mississippi, or eligibility to obtain one
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to determine students’ eligibility and need for occupational therapy services
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals based on student needs
• Work closely with teachers, families, and other service providers to support students’ participation in the classroom
• Document progress and maintain compliant records in accordance with school and legal requirements
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP (Individualized Education Program) development
• Offer direct and consultative OT services as required
