Occupational Therapist School Setting - Southport, NC

We seek an experienced Occupational Therapist eager to make an immediate impact for the remainder of the academic year. This contract role consists of 37.5 hours per week and offers the chance to contribute your expertise across various age groups, fostering meaningful progress in students’ educational journeys.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Prior experience working within school settings is highly valued
• Skills in OT for home health or diverse healthcare settings welcome
• Strong ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for both younger and older students
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to start as soon as possible and commit through the end of the school year

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services to help students access and progress in their educational programs
• Serve children at elementary, middle, and high school levels with varying needs
• Collaborate closely with educators, special education teams, and families
• Assess student needs, develop and monitor individualized treatment plans, and document progress in accordance with regulations
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multi-disciplinary discussions
