Make a meaningful impact by supporting students during an important maternity leave coverage as an Occupational Therapist! This contract role offers the opportunity to work closely with a diverse range of students—spanning Kindergarten to High School levels. Located near Spring, TX, this in-person position is essential for the upcoming school year, running from April 13th, 2026, through the end of the school year. Flexibility abounds: both full-time and part-time applicants will be considered, and a hybrid schedule is also an option for the right candidate.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid state licensure and credentials as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Experience working with school-aged children across varying grade levels (Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and High School)
  • Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and familiarity with school-based OT interventions
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Professionalism and adaptability to meet changing student needs in a dynamic environment
  • Previous school-based or pediatric occupational therapy experience is preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students of all ages, focusing on improving academic participation and functional independence
  • Assess individual student needs through thorough evaluations, documenting progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate interventions in collaboration with classroom teachers and other specialists
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert insights and recommendations for accessible learning environments
  • Maintain timely and accurate records in compliance with school and district policies
