School Occupational Therapist - Stafford, Virginia

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services according to IEP requirements
• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to tailor support to each student
• Design and carry out individualized therapy plans aimed at fostering daily living and academic skills
• Partner with teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate therapy strategies across school environments
• Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to state and district protocols
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, sharing insights and collaborating on student goals
• Address areas such as fine motor development, sensory processing, and functional independence

What We Look For:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
• Active Virginia OT license, or eligibility to attain one
• NBCOT certified occupational therapist
• Previous experience in a school setting is a plus, though not required
• Skillful communicator with a commitment to collaboration

Schedule Details:

• Commitment of approximately 37.5 hours per week
• Follows the school calendar, with all school holidays and breaks observed
