What we’re seeking:
- Valid state licensure and certification as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent experience in a school-based setting, ideally working with elementary-aged children
- Solid understanding of the IEP process and intervention strategies for pediatrics
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to build rapport with students, families, and educational staff
- Strong commitment to fostering student independence and access to curriculum
- Flexibility to start ASAP and commit through the end of the school year
Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for elementary students
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services aligned with student needs
- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings as part of the multidisciplinary team
- Collaborate closely with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to support classroom success
- Adapt therapy techniques to a variety of learning styles and functional abilities
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and school-specific guidelines
