Ready to make a meaningful impact in a small, close-knit educational environment? An onsite Occupational Therapist is needed immediately to provide exceptional care and support to students at a private school serving approximately 70 students. This full-time contract opportunity offers a consistent schedule and the chance to work with a manageable caseload of 8-9 students.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current OTR/L license to practice in Connecticut
  • Clinical background in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy
  • Experience with COTA and OT in healthcare, home health, and educational settings preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs in a small school setting
  • Efficient documentation and case management abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy sessions onsite, addressing students’ motor, sensory, and functional needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, aides, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEP goals
  • Evaluate student progress and maintain thorough, timely documentation of services provided
  • Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment and classroom modifications as needed
  • Communicate regularly with families to maximize student engagement and outcomes
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing educational planning for students
