An onsite Occupational Therapist is needed immediately to provide exceptional care and support to students at a private school serving approximately 70 students. This full-time contract opportunity offers a consistent schedule and the chance to work with a manageable caseload of 8-9 students.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current OTR/L license to practice in Connecticut
- Clinical background in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy
- Experience with COTA and OT in healthcare, home health, and educational settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs in a small school setting
- Efficient documentation and case management abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy sessions onsite, addressing students’ motor, sensory, and functional needs
- Collaborate with teachers, aides, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEP goals
- Evaluate student progress and maintain thorough, timely documentation of services provided
- Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment and classroom modifications as needed
- Communicate regularly with families to maximize student engagement and outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing educational planning for students
