Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ growth and development in an educational setting near Stamford, CT! Two full-time professionals are needed for the upcoming school year, offering the chance to make a genuine difference in young lives. Key Qualifications & Skills:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with experience in school settings
  • Proficiency in fine and gross motor skills development
  • Strong collaboration and communication abilities when working with educators, families, and other school professionals
  • Experience supporting children with various developmental needs, especially at the elementary level
  • Adaptability to develop and adjust strategies for diverse student populations
  • A passion for fostering student independence and confidence

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students’ functional abilities and collaborate on creating individualized intervention plans
  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services within the school environment
  • Track progress and maintain thorough documentation for compliance and communication with IEP teams
  • Provide input for educational plans and participate in parent meetings, contributing OT expertise
  • Educate teachers and families on strategies to support skill development in the classroom and at home
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive environment to ensure every student can thrive
