An exciting contract position is available for an Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year, supporting a welcoming district near Stanfield, AZ. This is a full-time opportunity covering multiple campuses and engaging with diverse student populations. Help students reach their potential in both academic and home-based settings, and champion the development of key motor skills—fine and gross—across the district.

Desired Experience and Skills:

  • Current Occupational Therapy license, with eligibility to practice in educational and healthcare environments.
  • Experience in school-based OT, and/or home health settings.
  • Comfort and proficiency offering OT via teletherapy platforms.
  • Strong background supporting both fine and gross motor development.
  • Collaborative team approach, with demonstrated ability to work effectively with COTAs.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with educators, administrators, families, and students.
  • Experience working across multiple school sites or a large district preferred.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct OT services to students as outlined in IEPs, across several campuses in the district.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide recommendations for interventions and modifications to support student success.
  • Develop and implement therapy plans utilizing both in-person and teletherapy modalities.
  • Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and school teams to build supportive, individualized strategies.
  • Document progress, maintain compliance, and contribute to IEP meetings as needed.
  • Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) when required.
  • Support the district in advancing inclusive practices and positive outcomes for all students.
