In this position, you’ll work approximately 7.5 hours per day at a vibrant lower elementary campus. Your specialized skills will help young learners overcome challenges, participate fully in their educational experience, and develop essential life skills. Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with appropriate state credentials
- Experience providing OT services within a school setting, particularly at the elementary level
- Familiarity with IEPs, student progress monitoring, and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Strong communication skills with students, staff, and parents
- Compassion, adaptability, and a commitment to inclusive education
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ needs and develop targeted OT intervention plans
- Deliver individualized and group therapy sessions to support fine motor, sensory, and functional skill development
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families
- Document progress, participate in IEP meetings, and make recommendations for classroom adaptations
- Foster an engaging and supportive environment, encouraging each child’s unique strengths
