This is a temporary role covering a maternity leave from August 24th through November 11th, working 2 to 3 days per week with an elementary school population and Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) classroom near Sterling Heights, MI.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Previous experience working in school-based settings strongly preferred
• Skilled in supporting elementary-aged children and early childhood students
• Ability to assess student needs and develop effective intervention plans
• Strong collaboration skills for working with teachers, support staff, and families
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in an elementary building and ECSE classroom
• Conduct assessments to identify students’ needs and develop appropriate goals
• Collaborate with classroom staff to integrate therapy strategies throughout the school day
• Document sessions and progress in compliance with school and regulatory standards
• Support student participation and engagement in classroom activities
• Communicate progress and recommendations to educational team and families
