Key Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active Michigan OT license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Recent experience providing OT services within school settings strongly desired
  • Proficiency in conducting assessments and creating individualized therapy plans (IEPs)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to adapt interventions to support a wide range of student abilities and needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services to K-12 students, aligned with state and district guidelines
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations and document progress toward IEP goals
  • Work alongside teachers and staff to integrate therapy seamlessly into the classroom
  • Provide input for student support teams and participate in IEP meetings
  • Educate school personnel and families in strategies that enhance student participation and independence
