This contract opportunity offers hands-on experience working with a dedicated group of professionals, supporting a caseload of 30-40 students across multiple campus locations near Sterling Heights, MI. Utilize best practices in occupational therapy to make a meaningful impact from now through June 2027, with a steady weekly schedule of 32.5 hours on site.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current state licensure (or eligibility) to practice occupational therapy
• Previous experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly regarded
• Ability to adapt and tailor interventions for diverse student needs
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Must be able to fulfill all onsite requirements; remote or virtual options are not available
• Please note: COTAs are not eligible for this position, as supervision is not available

Primary Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized occupational therapy plans for students
• Conduct assessments and write detailed reports to support IEP and 504 processes
• Collaborate with educational staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities
• Monitor and document student progress, updating goals as needed
• Instruct students in exercises and techniques to improve their fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills
• Participate in team meetings and provide recommendations for classroom accommodations or modifications
