Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in California
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting
- Ability to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with educators, families, and support staff
- Adaptable, organized, and enthusiastic about meeting students’ unique challenges
- Familiarity with assistive technology and evidence-based therapeutic strategies
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ motor skills, sensory-motor functions, and daily living tasks
- Design and execute individualized plans to help students achieve their academic and functional goals
- Collaborate with teachers, aides, and parents to ensure integrated support
- Conduct group and one-on-one therapy sessions as indicated by IEPs
- Maintain detailed records and participate in IEP meetings
- Educate school staff and families on techniques and accommodations for student success
- Advocate for students’ needs within the educational environment
