Occupational Therapist School Setting in Stone Mountain, GA

Make a direct and meaningful impact by providing essential occupational therapy services to middle school students in a supportive educational environment near Stone Mountain, GA. This part-time contract opportunity focuses on delivering individualized care to two students in 5th and 6th grade, ensuring their access to a quality education.

Key Requirements:

• Active Georgia OT license and GaPSC certification (both required)
• Experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
• Background working with students with disabilities is a plus
• Clearance documentation must be provided prior to start
• Must be able to perform all duties onsite

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct occupational therapy to two students (30 minutes/week per student, typically starting at 2:30 PM)
• Assess student needs in fine motor skills, sensory processing, daily living skills, and participation within the classroom environment
• Collaborate with teachers, special education professionals, and the broader school team to foster student success
• Make recommendations for classroom strategies and modifications to improve student engagement and access to instruction
• Track student progress, document interventions, and maintain records in compliance with IEPs and district policies
• Engage in regular communication with team members regarding services and student progress
• Ensure all support conforms to relevant IEP and regulatory guidelines
