Help foster meaningful growth in students’ lives as a part-time Occupational Therapist supporting 5th and 6th graders. This contract opportunity involves providing individualized services to two students, focusing on enhancing their fine motor, sensory, and functional skills within a supportive educational environment. Preferred candidates are committed professionals with a valid Georgia Occupational Therapist license and GaPSC certification. School-based experience and work with students with disabilities are highly desirable, reflecting a dedication to inclusive educational environments.

Key Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Georgia OT license and GaPSC certification (both required)
  • Documentation verifying appropriate clearances
  • Experience working in school settings and/or with students with disabilities is strongly preferred
  • Capacity to deliver services onsite (this is not a remote opportunity)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct occupational therapy services to two assigned students, 30 minutes per week per student
  • Assess individual student needs, focusing on areas such as sensory processing, fine motor function, and classroom participation
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, special education staff, and school-based support teams
  • Develop and document recommendations for classroom accommodations and instructional strategies
  • Monitor progress, maintain detailed service logs, and ensure compliance with IEP and regulatory requirements
  • Participate actively in team discussions regarding student progress and needs
