Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist passionate about making a difference in students’ lives? A rewarding part-time contract opportunity is available for a dedicated OT skilled at supporting upper elementary and middle school learners. This position focuses on providing specialized interventions to two students in 5th and 6th grade, delivering targeted services that foster independence and educational success.

What You’ll Need:

  • Current Georgia Occupational Therapy license and GaPSC certificate (both are mandatory)
  • Previous experience in a school environment is preferred
  • Background working with students with disabilities is valued
  • Ability to provide onsite services exclusively
  • Completion of all required clearance and documentation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct occupational therapy sessions, providing 30 minutes of support weekly to each student, meeting the requirements outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Assess student needs in fine motor development, sensory processing, functional abilities, and engagement within the classroom
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, special education professionals, and the interdisciplinary team to maximize student participation and outcomes
  • Offer recommendations for classroom accommodations and modifications to facilitate students’ educational access and progress
  • Monitor student achievement, maintain accurate and timely documentation, and communicate findings to team members
  • Maintain compliance with IEP mandates and state regulations at all times
