Looking for a rewarding, full-time contract opportunity impacting students' lives? Dynamic and passionate Occupational Therapists (OT) or experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) are invited to work on-site in the Houston/Southwest Sugar Land area for the upcoming academic year. You’ll support students ages 3-21, joining a collaborative school environment from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027.

In this role, you’ll manage a diverse caseload across 6–7 schools (all within a reasonable distance from your home ZIP code), delivering both direct OT services and consultative support. Expect to focus primarily on evaluation and IEP-driven treatment—most direct services revolve around 30–40 students with rotating schedules, while consultation promotes high-impact, effective interventions. Your day typically runs from 8 AM to 4 PM, with occasional early starts.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active TX Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
  • Open to highly skilled COTAs with extensive pediatric/school-based experience
  • Prior schools-based OT experience preferred
  • Proficient in school documentation systems (familiarity with SHARES or Onward a plus)
  • Ability to independently manage a caseload spanning preschool through transition-aged students
  • Capable of completing timely, detailed evaluations and IEP documentation
  • Must complete required fingerprinting prior to start (existing prints in state system may be accepted)
  • District will not consider any former employees

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized treatment and consultation per IEPs and student needs
  • Complete initial and ongoing OT evaluations
  • Attend ARD meetings as a valued team contributor
  • Maintain accurate documentation using school-approved platforms
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and staff for student-centered care

Bring your expertise and passion for supporting learners with diverse needs to a welcoming, dedicated team. Full-time only—37.5 hours per week—no part-time schedules.

If you’re an enthusiastic OT or qualified COTA ready for your next meaningful contract, submit your application today and help empower students to thrive!
