Occupational Therapist School Setting in Sugar Land, TX

Make a real difference in the lives of young learners with this rewarding opportunity for an Occupational Therapist supporting a dynamic preschool program. This contract position is based onsite, conveniently serving three schools in the Sugar Land area, with all locations situated close to one another. You’ll collaborate with teachers and staff to help preschool, elementary, and middle school students achieve their developmental milestones and maximize independence.

Key Qualifications:

• Current and active Occupational Therapy license in Texas
• Experience or strong interest in working with preschool and elementary-aged students
• Knowledge of school-based OT practices and a passion for delivering supportive, student-centered care
• Ability to adapt interventions and strategies to meet the diverse needs of children
• Excellent collaborative and organizational skills, able to build rapport with staff, students, and families
• Commitment to work onsite across multiple, closely located campuses

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services for preschool, elementary, and middle school students as identified in their IEPs
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress
• Work closely within the multidisciplinary team to support classroom goals and student success
• Consult with educators and parents to promote carryover of therapeutic strategies
• Travel between three assigned campuses—routes are short and manageable
• Maintain detailed records per district documentation standards
