Occupational Therapist School Setting in Sumner, WA

Step into an exciting contract opportunity to impact young learners as an Occupational Therapist in a vibrant elementary school environment near Sumner, WA! In this role, you’ll work 35 hours per week from September 1, 2026, to June 17, 2027, with additional training days to be scheduled in August. The position is designed for a dedicated Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based, home health, or healthcare settings. You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team committed to helping each student reach their full potential.

What You’ll Bring:

• Current Washington state licensure as an Occupational Therapist by the assignment start date.
• Demonstrated experience in school-based occupational therapy services, or related healthcare and home health OT settings.
• Expertise in supporting elementary-aged students with a range of developmental and physical needs.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized intervention and therapy plans.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• COTAs are not considered for this assignment.

• Assess, plan, and deliver occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students in both classroom and individual settings.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Document progress, prepare reports, and participate in IEP meetings as needed.
• Utilize innovative techniques to motivate students and aid them in achieving their goals.
• Participate in training prior to assignment start, and ongoing professional development.
