As an Occupational Therapist working within an educational setting, you'll collaborate with dedicated educators and families, applying your expertise in school-based OT to foster student independence and participation. What we’re seeking:
- Current California Occupational Therapist license required
- Experience delivering OT services in K-12 school settings strongly preferred
- Proficiency conducting evaluations, developing IEP goals, and implementing therapy plans
- Strong communication skills for working with diverse students, teachers, and caregivers
- Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize a dynamic caseload
- Passion for promoting inclusion and functional outcomes in a school community
Responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments to determine students’ therapy needs
- Developing and monitoring individualized intervention plans in coordination with the educational team
- Providing direct and consultative OT services in accordance with student IEPs
- Collaborating with teachers and parents to integrate OT strategies into daily routines
- Maintaining accurate documentation of services and progress
- Participating in IEP meetings and supporting the multidisciplinary team
