What you’ll bring:
- Current California Occupational Therapist license
- Prior experience in a school-based setting, especially with TK–5th grade students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans
- Familiarity with IEP processes and relevant state/federal guidelines
- Compassionate, student-centered outlook with a commitment to fostering independence
Key responsibilities:
- Assess and provide direct occupational therapy services to students
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to address students’ goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing evaluation results and progress updates
- Educate and collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to promote carryover of skills
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining compliance with all state and federal requirements
- Recommend environmental adaptations or classroom strategies that support student access and participation
