A full-time contract opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year, supporting schools throughout the San Jose and Peninsula area. By collaborating closely with educators, families, and other specialists, you’ll help empower students to achieve their fullest potential in academic and daily skills.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license for California
- Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP process and documentation
- Ability to work independently, creatively, and collaboratively
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional needs and develop individualized therapy plans to enhance school participation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success in various educational environments
- Deliver direct therapy and consultation services (individual and group) as specified in IEPs
- Maintain thorough records and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Offer training and resources for teachers and families to reinforce OT strategies in everyday routines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
