Step into a rewarding role supporting student success as a contract Occupational Therapist serving schools in the San Jose area. This position offers full-time hours in a dynamic educational environment, starting as soon as possible and extending through early summer. You’ll work exclusively on-site across two engaging school locations, delivering vital services to students and collaborating closely with other professionals and families.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid California Occupational Therapist license, or eligibility to obtain one in accordance with state guidelines
  • At least two years of clinical experience, with a strong focus on pediatric therapy and developmental disabilities
  • Previous experience in educational settings is highly preferred
  • Strong teamwork mindset and demonstrated ability to build partnerships with other educational staff and families
  • Commitment to on-site work for the duration of the assignment (no virtual or hybrid options)

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals and district standards
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment programs tailored to individual student needs
  • Collaborate with educational and multidisciplinary teams to foster student independence and achievement
  • Offer consultative support and training to educators and caregivers
  • Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress reports in compliance with regulations
