Step into an exciting opportunity as an Occupational Therapist supporting the needs of students across three school sites in the Sunnyvale, CA area. This contract position offers a dynamic and rewarding environment, making a meaningful difference in students’ daily lives. As a full-time role (40 hours per week), you’ll have the chance to collaborate with educational teams and families while developing and implementing effective strategies that enhance students’ participation in school activities.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid California licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Background providing OT services in school-based or pediatric settings preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with a caseload of students needing both direct therapy (currently 22 students) and consultative services (currently 13 students).
  • Flexibility to travel among three school sites during the workweek.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy sessions to students, focusing on fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills as outlined in IEPs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to implement OT strategies throughout the school environment.
  • Complete timely and compliant documentation, including progress notes, evaluations, and assessments.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing recommendations and updates regarding students’ progress and needs.
  • Support staff development by offering suggestions and resources related to occupational therapy.

Compensation for this role ranges from $55 to $70 an hour, providing a competitive package for skilled OT professionals eager to make a positive impact.
