You’ll be working with TK–5th grade students, lending your expertise over two mornings per week (approximately 8:30 am – 12:30 pm), throughout the 2026–2027 academic year. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with interventions for a range of fine and gross motor needs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration
- Ability to assess, build, and implement individualized therapeutic strategies
- Compassionate, patient approach to working with TK–5th grade students
- Adaptable and organized, able to manage a flexible, part-time schedule
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ occupational therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plan (IEP) goals
- Provide direct intervention, consultation, and support to students and staff
- Monitor student progress and maintain thorough documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to maximize student achievement
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute specialized expertise
- Recommend adaptive equipment and classroom modifications when needed
