School Occupational Therapist - Sunnyvale, California

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Valid license to practice Occupational Therapy in California
• Previous experience collaborating with elementary-aged children preferred
• Familiarity with TK-5 curriculum, classroom routines, and developmental needs
• Ability to design and implement individualized and group OT interventions
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and families
• Strong documentation and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, focusing on fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, and access to educational activities
• Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and participate in IEP meetings when needed
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to support classroom adaptations and student inclusion
• Maintain thorough records, progress notes, and required documentation
• Offer consultation and training for staff and families to assist with carryover of OT strategies
