Key Qualifications:

  • Current or in-progress Alaska OT Licensure
  • TYPE C Certification required for school-based practice
  • Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
  • Ability to deliver approximately 1000 minutes of direct student contact weekly (about 16 direct service hours)
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm for working onsite with multidisciplinary teams
  • AK-Certified or demonstrated commitment to securing appropriate certification

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEPs and district guidelines
  • Assess and document students’ functional abilities and progress
  • Collaborate actively with educators, support staff, and families to promote student success
  • Support participation in learning and school routines through direct intervention and consultation
  • Contribute to team meetings, evaluations, and planning efforts
  • Stay current with best practices in pediatric and school-based OT
