Occupational Therapist School Setting in Sutton, AK

What we’re seeking:

• Completion of a recognized Occupational Therapy program
• Current OT licensure for the state of Alaska
• TYPE C Certification (required)
• Preference for candidates already AK-certified
• Experience in school-based OT settings is highly desirable
• Ability to manage and prioritize approximately 1000 minutes of direct student contact per week
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to in-person service delivery (virtual options not available for this role)

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering direct therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs and district guidelines
• Assessing and documenting student progress across various occupational performance areas
• Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to tailor interventions that promote student growth
• Maintaining accurate student records and documentation
• Participating in student-focused meetings and contributing OT expertise to workshop or planning sessions
• Adhering to all state and professional regulations impacting school-based OT practice
