Step into a rewarding role delivering vital Occupational Therapy services in a vibrant school setting near Sutton, AK. As an in-person provider for the full academic year, you'll play an essential part in supporting students’ growth and success. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference by working directly with students and collaborating with educators.

Preferred Background and Credentials:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Alaska
  • TYPE C Certification (required for consideration)
  • Experience in school-based Occupational Therapy preferred
  • AK-Certified candidates are highly desired
  • Ability to provide approximately 1000 minutes per week of direct student contact (averaging 16 hours)
  • Comfortable working solely onsite (remote/VOCO services are not being considered at this time)
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations for students to determine OT needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions
  • Deliver targeted therapy sessions to help students achieve educational and functional goals
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation according to school and legal requirements
  • Partner closely with teachers, staff, and families to optimize outcomes for each student
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute assessment data and recommendations
  • Manage a caseload effectively to deliver services throughout the school year, prioritizing student outcomes
