Step into an impactful contract-based opportunity supporting a student’s journey as an Occupational Therapist within a school-based environment near Swanzey, NH. This role focuses on delivering Extended School Year (ESY) OT services that have the potential to extend through the 26/27 school year. You'll provide crucial 1:1 intervention for an out-of-district male student residing at a residential hospital in Hampstead, NH.

Work closely with supportive hospital staff to tailor therapies, as this student is new to OT services—sessions will start smaller and increase as progress permits. Enjoy a level of scheduling flexibility, with services typically delivered on Mondays and Fridays between 8:15 a.m. and 2:30–3:00 p.m.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid New Hampshire Occupational Therapist (OT) license
  • Proven experience in a school setting preferred, especially with individualized or 1:1 interventions
  • Ability to build rapport, show patience, and adjust therapy plans as student tolerates
  • Strong communication and adaptability to collaborate with on-site hospital staff
  • Previous ESY or similar extended services a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct OT services to support IEP goals and functional student outcomes
  • Develop and modify therapeutic interventions based on student response
  • Monitor progress, document sessions, and adjust strategies as needed
  • Communicate openly with educational and hospital staff to ensure student safety and therapeutic consistency
  • Coordinate schedules and session plans in accordance with on-site requirements
