Fine Motor Skills School Occupational Therapist - Sylva, North Carolina

Step into a rewarding part-time contract role supporting students with a caseload of approximately 20 for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This opportunity is based near Sylva and Waynesville, NC, and focuses on providing high-quality occupational therapy services in a school-based setting.

You’ll work directly with students, collaborating with educators and families, utilizing your expertise in fine motor skills, home health, teletherapy, and overall pediatric occupational therapy to promote student success and independence.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Valid Occupational Therapy licensure in North Carolina
• Previous experience in school, home health, or healthcare settings
• Strong background in fine motor skill development
• Proficiency in teletherapy and remote service delivery
• Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse pediatric caseload
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Creative, flexible, and collaborative approach to therapy
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ occupational therapy needs and develop individualized plans
• Deliver therapy services onsite and through teletherapy, as appropriate
• Track student progress and update plans in coordination with teachers and families
• Support students with fine motor skill development and adaptive skills for school success
• Consult with educational teams to support classroom accommodations
• Maintain all required documentation and compliance with district and professional standards
