Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington Occupational Therapist license (active and in good standing) required
  • School-based OT experience preferred
  • Background in OT settings such as home health or general healthcare is beneficial
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
  • Flexibility, strong organization, and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of elementary-aged students

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary school students per individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Evaluate students’ functional abilities and develop targeted intervention plans
  • Collaborate with educational teams to integrate therapy goals within classroom routines
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress
  • Provide consultative support and training to teachers and staff as needed
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student objectives
  • Stay current with evidence-based practices and regulatory requirements relevant to school OT services

This contract role offers a full-time schedule averaging 35 hours per week for the 2026–2027 academic year, with contract dates running from September 1, 2026, to June 17, 2027 (additional training dates in August to be determined). You’ll work with an elementary caseload in a supportive school setting located near Tacoma, WA.
