School Occupational Therapist | Tacoma, Washington

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as an Occupational Therapist during the 2026-2027 school year near Tacoma, WA. This assignment spans 35 hours per week, beginning early September through mid-June, with training in August prior to the start date. You’ll collaborate closely with education professionals to help young learners achieve greater independence and academic participation.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Current WA Occupational Therapy licensure (or eligibility by start date)
• Experience providing OT services in school-based, healthcare, or home health settings
• Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy best practices
• Comfortable working with elementary-aged children in an educational environment
• Skilled in assessment, IEP development, and goal-oriented interventions
• Passion for supporting diverse student populations
• COTAs are not being considered for this opening

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative OT services within elementary classrooms
• Assess students’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Document progress, maintain compliance with IEP goals, and generate required reports
• Support the development of students’ motor, sensory, and functional skills for school success
