Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Washington (or eligibility to obtain)
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Prior experience in school-based settings preferred; strong new graduates considered
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Current knowledge of best practices, state regulations, and IEP procedures
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment goals for students
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services within school environments
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support access to the curriculum
- Adapt activities and provide recommendations to facilitate student participation and independence
- Educate school staff and caregivers on strategies to support students’ sensory, fine motor, and self-care skills
