An opportunity is available for a part-time Occupational Therapist in a school setting located in Tallassee, AL. This contract position offers the chance to support a unique caseload consisting of one homebound student, providing specialized OT services tailored to individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to a homebound student according to their individualized education program (IEP)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement therapeutic interventions
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports in compliance with school policies and regulatory standards
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary support strategies
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in Alabama
- Experience working in school-based occupational therapy preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage a specialized caseload
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of pediatric therapy techniques and interventions appropriate for school-age children
