Grades 6 - 8 Grades K - 5 Occupational Therapist School Setting in Taylor, MI

In this rewarding contract opportunity, you’ll provide essential occupational therapy services to students across all grade levels, from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Your expertise will help transform the educational experiences of children and adolescents by empowering them to participate more fully in school activities. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current licensure or eligibility as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience with K–12 school populations preferred
• Strong understanding of pediatric and adolescent development
• Comfort with adapting therapeutic techniques for different age groups and abilities
• Ability to create engaging, individualized intervention plans
• Effective communication with students, families, and educators
• Familiarity with documentation, progress notes, and IEPs

Role Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ functional abilities and develop tailored treatment plans to support success in the classroom
• Deliver one-on-one and small group therapy, targeting fine motor, sensory integration, and daily living skills
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to integrate therapy goals into the school environment
• Monitor and document progress, modifying interventions as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to individualized educational programming
• Provide guidance on assistive devices or classroom modifications
