A full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) opportunity is available in Elkhart, IN, providing specialized telehealth services with a focus on secondary age students in an elementary school setting. This contract position requires a professional skilled in delivering effective OT interventions remotely, while also preferring onsite presence to support student needs comprehensively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct telehealth occupational therapy sessions tailored to the developmental and educational needs of secondary-age students.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators and caregivers.
- Monitor progress and adjust therapy goals to maximize student outcomes.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
- Facilitate communication between the school staff, students, and families to ensure continuity of care.
- Preferably provide onsite support to complement virtual services as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with current credentials.
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably at the secondary level.
- Competence in telehealth service delivery, including familiarity with relevant technology platforms and remote engagement strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel.
- Ability to work full-time hours and commit to the contract duration.
