This full-time, onsite position is based near Temecula, supporting multiple elementary schools and collaborating closely with dedicated educators and staff.
You will be working with a diverse caseload of approximately 80 students, addressing a range of needs with the added benefit of a full-time COTA available for support. The position is set to start as soon as possible, extending at least through the end of the academic year.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapist certification and state licensure (required)
- Experience working in elementary school settings
- Ability to effectively manage a diverse caseload
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Flexibility and adaptability to support multiple school sites
- Commitment to fostering student growth and promoting participation in school activities
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality occupational therapy evaluations, interventions, and consultative services to elementary students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and other specialists to develop IEP goals and ensure student progress
- Support students in accessing their curriculum and achieving independence in the educational environment
- Maintain accurate records, timely documentation, and communication consistent with school and professional guidelines
- Travel locally between assigned elementary schools as required
- Supervise and partner with the onsite COTA to deliver thorough and comprehensive therapy support
